Invisible Hotel

A treehotel of mirrorcubes in Harads, Sweden is becoming the new attraction for tourist seeking a true hideout. Designed by Tham & Videgard Architects, the mirrorcubes are made of lightweight aluminum hung around a single tree-base. The mirror outer of the cube not only blends in with the surrounding nature giving it a surreal quality, but also provides an all around view. The thoughtful designers laminated the outer surface of the cube with an infrared film only visible to birds, in order to prevent them from flying into the mirrors.
